Cham Island is a famous tourist destination in the central region, 15 kilometers far from Cua Dai Beach (Hoi An, Quang Nam), 20 kilometers far away from the centre of Hoi An ancient city to the South. Cham Islands constitute a group of 8 small islands of Quang Nam with the best idyllic names: Pearl Islet, Long Islet, Tomb Islet, Big Dry Islet, Small Dry Islet, Leaf Islet, Ear Islet, East Wind Islet which forms a part of the Cu Lao Cham Marine Park, a world Biosphere Reserve recognized by UNESCO, in South china Sea in Vietnam. The Cham Islands are under the administration of Tan Hiep Commune of Hoi An city in Quang Nam Province. This island has a cool climate all year round with rich flora and fauna, particularly marine resources and resource of bird nests. The coral reefs in the area of Cham Island are also appreciated by scientists and taken into protective list, coral system here is also the source of inspiration that attracts many tourists to come here for scuba diving to watch coral.

Coming to Cham Island, visitors will undergo the poetic moment or experience floating on water. In addition beautiful natural landscapes, you will have opportunity to explore the archaeological monuments related to the residence of ancient people 3,000 years ago. At Cham Island, there are also many historical and cultural relics as Hai Tang Pagoda, village wells, Lang Ong, Mieu Ba  as well as a series of wonderful natural landscapes such as Ba Cave, Mason-bee Cave and Sacks of Rice Islet, Love Spring, Mo Stream, etc.

Tips

– The tourists can get the first boat to the island every morning at 07:30 AM ; ticket fare for boat is 2 USD / person for one way ticket; one seat at second level is the best choice for sightseeing.

– You should go in the summer to enjoy the cool weather and enjoy the great feeling of jumping into the cool waters of the sea here.

– Go on the fifteenth day of each lunar month to combine with sightseeing in Hoi An ancient town and enjoy Cham Island’s speciality called  Vu Nang Shellfish.
